Isle of Man - Enduro Mann

Several years ago I noticed many enduro bikes coming to the Island , I have been stopped on a number of occasions and asked for directions. This is where the idea originated; why not offer accommodation and also a guided tour of the green lanes.

The Isle of Man is world famous when it comes to motorcycling, The TT of course. The Island not only has the best road racing circuit in the world, it also has a network of “green lanes”. These “lanes” are clearly marked with a sign displaying a motorbike and a horse. Both parties therefore have the same right to use the green lanes and respect is given both ways.

The Isle of Man is 32.5 miles long and 13.5 mile wide giving a perimeter of approximately 100 miles. There are about 45 green lanes the longest being about 5 miles.

A usual day will cover about 90 miles; the degree of difficulty can be accommodated to specific requirements. I will tailor a specific route to meet the requirements.

The holiday will be available at weekends only. The Isle of Man Steam Packet Ferry operates between Douglas and Heysham 7 days a week and between Douglas and Liverpool . See www.steam-packet.com for further information on sailings.

Your accommodation is at our house, which is called “Clag Mooar” we can accommodate 6 guests comfortably in 3, twin rooms. Two rooms are en-suite whirlpool bathrooms and one en suite shower room. Our garage is well equipped with most tools, we also have an industrial steam cleaner. Our house is situated on the edge of a village called Foxdale about 6 miles from Douglas (see map). There is a public house, petrol station and shop, about 500 yards away.

Prices are based on two adults and a vehicle, staying for two nights starting from £156.00 per person.

The price for the Ferry crossing may vary depending on time of year. The price will also vary depending on the number of people in one vehicle.

The price includes return ferry, accommodation, and myself as a guide for both days.
