Castletown Room
The soft furnishings in the bedroom are in red, gold and blue and have crowns and coats of arms on the material. The room has a very rich feel about it and has a number of pictures of Castletown around the room. There is also a small fridge in this room housed within the TV cabinet. The beds are interchangeable therefore they can either be twin or double, we personally tried them at the factory to ensure our guests would have a comfortable bed.
The bathroom has a slate type flooring and the tiles on the wall are to resemble stone, inserted onto the wall is a picture of Castletown on slate, this has been taken from a photo and scanned onto the slate by a local company called Pooil Vaaish. http://www.pooilvaaish.com
This bathroom has a whirlpool bath and a separate power shower. The towels are of a high quality, each guest is provided with a bath towel and a bath sheet. Our shampoo's and bath/shower products are all Molton Brown.
Castletown
Castletown, once the Capital of the Isle of Man and the seat of Tynwald, the Island's parliament, still has many interesting and historic attractions. Sited at the edge of a long extinct and almost untraceable volcano, the town was the guardian for the Manx in times of war and peace. There is a picturesque harbour dominated by the imposing Castle Rushen and with history around every corner there is certainly plenty to keep the visitor busy.
CASTLETOWN ATTRACTIONS |
Castle Rushen |
Castle Rushen is probably the finest medieval castle in the British Isles. This is one of Europe's most finely preserved medieval castles and its origins can be found in the Norse period when Norse Kings fortified a strategic site guarding the entrance to the Silverburn River. Successive rulers of Mann between the 13th and 16th centuries developed the Castle.
